SPECIAL VISITORS AT
 WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP

We will have an unexpected special event as part of our Wednesday night fellowship. On Wednesday afternoon, 22 bicycle riders and medical students from Ohio State University will arrive at First Presbyterian Church. They are riding across the country to raise awareness for Partners for World Health. According to its website, PWH raises funds and works toward the shipment of used hospital and medical equipment to medical facilities in third-world nations. A member of the group will speak briefly about the group’s work. The group will dine with us Wednesday night, and will bunk for the evening in our Fellowship Hall.

The Wednesday schedule:

5:15 p.m. Handbell practice.

5:30 p.m. Fellowship meal (Discipleship Committee)

6:15 p.m. Bible study.

7 p.m. Choir practice.

LAST SUNDAY

We sang “Alleluia, Alleluia! Give Thanks,” “O Sons and Daughters, Let Us Sing!” and “Because He Lives.” The choir sang “Thomas’ Song." Shirley Campbell was the liturgist. The scripture lessons were 1 Peter 1: 3-9 (the power of God will be revealed in the last time) and John 20: 19-31 (Thomas is relieved of his doubts). The Rev. Mike Morgan’s sermon was titled “Fleas and Faith.”
